Bardstown’s Inaugural Cocktail Week, April 27-30

Bardstown’s inaugural Cocktail Week takes place April 27-30 and features innovative cocktails and distillery/restaurant pairings. Additionally, purchase your $25 wristband at participating restaurants or the Welcome Center. The wristband allows you to purchase $5 specialty cocktails. Hence, you should look for details of events throughout the week. Most importantly, proceeds benefit the Hospitality Association’s Scholarship Program.

Cocktail week participants will receive a souvenir Larceny glass with purchase of the signature cocktail.  In addition, you can get your mug shot taken with the Larceny backdrop.  4 p.m. to close.  116 W. Stephen Foster Ave. 502-350-1097.

Maker’s Mark at 3rd Street Tap House, April 27

 Join Maker’s Mark at 3rd Street Tap House for a chance to win bourbon swag such as Maker’s Mark Kentucky Mule mugs.  The Kentucky Mule will also be available for a discounted rate of $5 to Cocktail Week participants.  However, all are welcome to attend. 4 p.m. to close. Buffalo Trace Tasting & Cocktail Session with Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, April 28

Buffalo Trace Master Distiller, Harlen Wheatley will lead a tasting of four premier Buffalo Trace Products: Buffalo Trace, Col. E.H. Taylor Small Batch, Stag Jr. and Eagle’s Rare. Plus, we will have drawings for great Buffalo Trace prizes throughout the event.

Additionally, pre-paid tickets are $30 per person and include a Bourbon Tasting, personal Q&A session with the Master Distiller, plus a specialty cocktail prior to the event featuring your choice of either Buffalo Trace Bourbon or Harlen’s newly released Wheatley Vodka. Each attendee will receive a souvenir Buffalo Trace glass and a 15% discount on products purchased in the Kentucky Bourbon Marketplace Gift Shop and Buffalo Trace Bourbons. Jim Beam at Kurtz Restaurant, April 28

Join Jim Beam Ambassador Megan Breier at Kurtz Restaurant from 4pm -7 pm. Additionally, cocktail Week participants will receive their $5 signature Clementine Mint Julep in a souvenir julep cup along with Kurtz’ Taste of Kentucky: Kentucky country ham on a yeast roll and sampling of bourbon biscuit pudding with Jim Beam bourbon sauce.

Willett at Harrison Smith House, April 28

Join Willett Distillery and Harrison Smith House for a special BBQ buffet.  4-9 p.m.  Advance tickets may be purchased at Willett Distillery and Harrison Smith House.  Tickets this year are the same as previously,  $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Four Roses Dinner & Tasting with Brand Ambassador Al Young, April 29

One of our most noteworthy events here in town is the Four Roses event with Bourbon Brand Ambassador, Al Young. Join us while we dine for a 4 course dinner and Bourbon Tasting. Join us for our  6 p.m. at The Rickhouse Restaurant & Lounge, 112 Xavier Dr.  Tickets are $75.  RSVP at 502-348-2832.

Barton 1792 VIP Tasting Experience, April 29

 Another tasting? How many could there be! Seems like the options are never ending. The Bourbon Manor’s Bourbon Bar & Lounge will be offering a VIP experience from 5:30-7:30 on Friday April 29th.  This exclusive opportunity will feature 1792 Small Batch Bourbon and all the available 1792 Expression Series. The Bourbon Manor will be premiering its NEW tapas menu and 1792 specialty cocktail.  VIP gift bags will be presented to those in attendance for the VIP experience.

Additionally, representatives from 1792 and the Barton 1792 Distillery will be in attendance all night with souvenir glassware and other 1792 promotional items. VIP Tickets are available for sale for $50/ticket at Bourbon Manor Bed & Breakfast and Barton 1792 Distillery.  Starting at 7:30pm-11pm, OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FREE OF CHARGE. Specialty cocktails available for $5 for anyone with a Cocktail Week Wristband. The $25 wristband is available onsite (as well as the Tourism Office), proceeds will support the Hospitality Association’s Scholarship Fund.

Wild Turkey at the Old Talbott Tavern, April 29

Seems like there’s still so much to do! Join Wild Turkey at the Old Talbott Tavern for a chance to win bourbon swag.  Sip the Wild Turkey punch, available for a discounted rate of $5 to Cocktail Week participants, while you enjoy live music. All ages are welcome to attend. Additionally, there is no charge for admission for this event.

COCKTAIL WEEK EVENT at Kreso’s Restaurant, 2p to 4p, April 30

Finally, to end our week of liberal libations, we’re mixing things up at the Bourbon Mixed Drink Challenge this year. That’s because last year we left people craving for more. Master bartenders will show you their skills by creating the perfect “Sparkling Bourbon Cocktail”, main ingredient Kentucky Bourbon. Consequently, this year’s Judge’s Choice winner will go on to be the Official Cocktail for the 2016 Kentucky Bourbon Festival. Make your voice heard by helping us select our People’s Choice winner. In conclusion: Interested? come and judge for yourself. Ticket Price: $25.00
